Company history

The brand Siblu appears for the first time in 2003 as the company begin the process of replacing the brand ‘Haven Europe’, with ‘Siblu’, this process continued throughout 2004 [1]. A management buyout occurred later in 2004 led by leisure entrepreneur Leslie Hurst and Siblu became an independent company.[2]. In 2005, the whole of Haven Europe was rebranded as Siblu [3]. In 2006 Siblu managed to secure a large private equity investment which enabled the company to expand further.[4].

In early 2007 Siblu added to its group of French parcs by purchasing the Pierres Couchees parc in Loire-Atlantique [5]. Just over a month later Siblu purchased its 10th holiday parc in France [6], the Domaine de Dugny parc. Later that year in May 2007 Siblu purchased their first parc in Normandy[7] and their first parc in the Côte d'Azur [8].

Siblu added to its French parc portfolio again in 2008 with 2 more parcs. Starting with Bonne Anse Plage in January and then Sables du Midi, Languedoc [9]. Siblu continued to make the headlines in 2009 when it launched its own ‘EuroVouchers’ [10]
